The Jim Browne Foundation was formed out of a desire to grow opportunities for healthful recreation in our beautiful little corner of Maine. We provide programs that bring new players to golf, and new enthusiasts to winter sports. Lakewood has a strong history of valuing community, family and environment and is the perfect partner. The foundation will be instrumental in shaping LGC for the next generation, consistent with what Jim Browne intended when he bought Lakewood. It has been more than 18 years since Jim died and we miss him every day. We miss his thirst for fun, his work ethic, and his love of his family and community.
